Course Content
In this course we will explore the main characteristics of history of education, the current problems and debates, the methodological issues and the new trends of research both in Italy and in the european context. We will pay a special attention to the international approach to the educational and historical questions.

Basic knowledge of contemporary history.
Teaching Methods
Teacher-centered method of instruction; later on, whole-class discussions
(facilitated by open-ended questions about a text).
Students have two ways to participate in lessons:
1) participating in Laura street classrooms;
2) making use of moodle class tools, especially the sound recordings [asynchronous learning].
The course will be held in blended e-learning and combines classroom
sessions with on line sessions on the Moodle platform (http://e-l.unifi.it;
Decreto rettorale, 5 giugno 2007, n. 396, Regolamento per l’istituzione e
il funzionamento dei Corsi di studio a distanza - e-Learning dell’Università degli Studi di Firenze).
A part of the course takes place online entirely.
