Course Content
The course will cover the pedagogical aspects that form the teacher necessary to understand the values of democracy, participation, social coexistence, recognition/respect for rights, historical memory, and intergenerational exchange.
Therefore, reference will be made to the teaching of civic education, a cross-cutting discipline that involves all knowledge, including through testimonies and practical service learning activities.

Attendance is strongly recommended.
Student attendance will be recognized based on participation in the activities offered during the course.
Interactive platforms will be used during the course, requiring availability and specific skills. In classroom work will be continued and developed even outside the teaching hours established by the schedule. If necessary, extra-hours laboratory time will be activated for those attending.

Type of Assessment
For attending students, assessment will take place in itinere through individual and group work that will be assigned and presented during the course and the preparation of assignments indicated on the course moodle page. What students have done will be collected in a final dossier to be uploaded to the moodle page one week before the roll call.
The final examination is in written form and, if necessary, further study will be required in oral form.
For non-attending students, the preparation of the dossier to be submitted one week before the appeal applies. Final verification is in oral form on the entire course syllabus.

Course program
The course will address the topic of civic education from an interdisciplinary perspective, highlighting the potential and critical aspects. The contributions that this topic offers to the construction of a positive relationship and well-being in the school and classroom group will be considered and discussed.
The Service Learning proposal will provide an opportunity for students to consolidate these elements through learning concrete operational proposals for social engagement.
The training will be enriched with pedagogical proposals for teaching about the Shoah. Through the IWitness platform, students will experience how to creatively investigate and sources and materials that testify to the values of democracy, human respect, freedom, equality, etc.
Such a course will provide students with important references for responding with Service Learning, to issues of intercultural conflict, interreligious
